Dear Wellspring Church Family,

On behalf of your Board and staff team, we are delighted to share this financial update with you.

This report covers September through December 2025, the first four months of our 2025/26 fiscal year. As part of our commitment to transparency and keeping our congregation informed, we will be providing two financial reports between our Annual Celebrations each September. Our next update will be released in May of 2026.

We are deeply grateful for your generous support during these first months of the fiscal year. Your faithfulness enables us to steward every resource wisely as we work to expand God's Kingdom in Englewood and the surrounding areas.

What you'll see in the pages that follow is a testament to God's faithfulness and your partnership in the mission of Wellspring. The numbers tell a story of abundant provision, wise stewardship, and a church body that continues to give sacrificially toward Kingdom work.

Thank you for allowing us to serve alongside you, Wellspring Family. Should you have any questions regarding this report, we welcome your conversation.

With great thanks,

Steve Loomis Board Chair

Matt Wurtzbacher Treasurer

Billy Waters Lead Pastor

Chris Binkley Executive Director of Administration

General Giving and Expenses

Expected vs. Actual Giving

We are grateful to report that general giving in the first four months of our fiscal year has exceeded expectations. This is a testimony to God's faithfulness and His work in and through the Wellspring Church family.

Most of the difference between our expected (budgeted) giving and actual giving can be explained by several extraordinary gifts received in both November and December. These acts of generosity are not anticipated in our annual budget, and without them, our giving would be at or very close to our budgeted expectations.

Totals for Sep. - Dec. 2025

Projected Giving Actual Giving
$3,100,000 $4,103,748

What we planned to spend vs. what we spent.

As shown in the graph, our expenses have been slightly higher than budgeted. This is largely because our tithe to the diocese increased in response to the strong giving we received — a wonderful testament to your generosity and God's provision through this body.

Totals for Sep. - Dec. 2025

Projected Spending Actual Spending
$3,382,886 $3,554,478

Our needs of YOU, our Church Body.

As we reflect on God's abundant provision through your incredible generosity, we are reminded of Paul's words in Philippians 4:6: "Pray about everything... thank Him for all he has done". All thanks and praise belongs squarely to Jesus, our Savior. His work in and through Wellspring for over 25 years continues to move hearts toward himself, and bring the Kingdom of God to Englewood in profound and tangible ways.

Your faithful giving so far this year has exceeded our expectations. We are humbled and grateful for how God continues to move through this church family.

Looking ahead, there are four things that we need from you at this time:

  1. Our greatest need right now is your continued engagement and presence — especially as we navigate our ongoing construction project. In the months ahead, we'll be working through temporary disruptions: parking changes, noise, setup and teardown shifts, and logistical pivots week to week. But here's the truth: the church isn't the building…it's you. We need you to stay plugged in, serve on teams, join small groups, show up with patience and flexibility, and keep building community no matter what's happening with drywall and ductwork. Your presence and steadfastness are what make Wellspring, Wellspring.
  2. If you are not directly involved in our ministry efforts here at Wellspring, now is the time. There are more mouths to feed, children to disciple, and people meeting Jesus through Wellspring than ever before. Growth plus construction means this is an all-hands-on-deck moment and having more people serving will make the difference between thriving and just surviving. Click below to sign up and get plugged in.
  3. Pray for us during this construction season. Pray for safety on the job site, wisdom in decision-making, smooth coordination among contractors, and that the new space we're building would be used powerfully for Kingdom impact. Pray that through every challenge and delay, God would be glorified and His mission would move forward.
  4. Finally, please continue in generosity as you faithfully give to Wellspring. We've had a strong start to the year, and in order to meet our budget amidst growth and a significant construction project, we will need a strong finish as well. Your regular giving is what funds the mission happening right now — supporting our staff, keeping ministries running, and ensuring we can continue investing in people and Kingdom work today, even as we build for tomorrow.
