We are so excited that you would like to partner with 3 Streams Institute by sending an Intern to join our learning cohort. Here are some details to help you know what is expected from you. 3SI’s Internship is year 1 of a possible 4 years, which require separate applications for each year of the program.

Logistics:

• Internship runs from September through May
  • Internship retreat will be at the end of August and 3SI runs this
• Interns commit to 10-12 hours per week
  • 2 of those hours will be spent at Wellspring with the learning cohort
    • Wednesdays from 9-11am
  • 1 hour is set aside for homework
  • 7-9 hours will be spent working with the Church
    • Divided between Sunday and using other hours during the week
    • Church will make their own schedule with Intern around Intern’s schedule and Church’s need
• Church must have a point person to oversee their Intern and to be on 3SI training calls
  • Training will be a monthly video call with Tara and other partner Churches so 3SI can give full support to the Church
• Church will help each Intern find a mentor
  • Send mentor’s information to 3SI
  • 3SI will train the mentor
• Church will have a robust job description for each Intern (3SI has templates you can use)
• Church will provide a Catechism class for the Intern or Intern commits to coming to Wellspring’s Catechism in the Spring
• 3SI will share Syllabus with Church that includes all important dates and curriculum used in the learning cohort

Finances:

• Church is committing financially to each Intern sent to 3SI.
  • $8000 for the 9 months they will be with the Church
    • This can be a living wage stipend or tuition assistance (if at Denver Seminary)
    • 3SI will help get proper documentation for Denver Seminary
  • $2000 per Intern per year to 3 Streams Institute to cover administrative fees, food, retreats, etc.
• 3SI does not financially support Interns at partner Churches

Send Your Candidates to Us Workflow:

• Church will email 3SI Coordinator to get the Candidate started in the process
  • Please share name, email, and phone number of Candidate
• 3SI will send the application to the Church when it is fully completed
  • Deadline for 3SI applications is June 15th
• Church will read the Candidate’s application to decide if they are a good fit
• Church will interview the Candidate
• 3SI will have a 30 minute call with the Candidate
• 3SI and Church will communicate about the fit of Candidate before moving forward
• Church or Candidate can reach out to 3SI Coordinator at any time in the process
